Peter Granovetter
I have 25 years experience in the computer/technology field, plus several years of training and work in Nuclear Medicine. My lifelong search for a universal TOE has spanned many disaplines including (but not limited to) physics, biology, mathematics, human psychology, philosophy and sociology. I will be discussing my ideas and theories which may contradict some of today's modern theoretical teachings on the nature of our universe.
View all articles by Peter GranovetterIf tachyons (or other particles) can travel faster than light, then based on the Theory of Special Relativity, they should also have the ability to move backward in time.If we hypothesize that the velocity of thought allows it to exhibit tachyonic properties, then as time moves backwards, thought will display the properties of negative time.As opposed to Past - Present - Future, we now have "reverse linearity", i.e. Future - Present - Past. This theory helps to explain the phenomenon of premonitions. In a negative time scenario, an individual"s ability to see into the future is better described as the individual"s ability to "remember" the future.Because the future occurs before the present and the past in negative time, future events are remembered in the same way that past events would be remembered in a positive time scenario!
The theory of Special Relativity also implies that faster than light particles such as tachyons, if they exist, could never have the ability to slow down to velocities which are slower than light. But what if we hypothesize that the velocity of thought might be variable in that some tachyonic particles might fall below light speed, giving them non-tachyonic properties and possibly a transition into a totally different type of sub-light particle. If true, the ability of thought to exhibit both v<c and v>c properties, would allow for both positive and negative time to exist simultaneously. If we conclude that linear time (past - present - future) is simply a perception that is based on certain intangible limitations of most (but not all) humans, it"s very possible that what we have labeled as past, present and future, are actually one and the same, all coexisting simultaneously on a dimensional level that our human brains are incapable of perceiving.
General quantum theory supports the concept of particles existing in more than one place at the same time, moving in and out of multiple universes.By this example we might also hypothesize that certain particles, such as particles of thought (tachyons), may exist in more than one moment in time simultaneously, possibly even infinite moments. This would give thought the ability to completely transcend linear time.
Perception is a key word in understanding the nature of our universe. What our brains perceive is only a very small part of what actually exists.Even with the technology we have invented to explore this universe, we can still only detect a very small part of what is all around us.Remember, the scientific instruments we construct for the purpose of examining the universe are controlled by the limitations of our brain"s sensory input. So in order to expand our understanding of the universe in which we exist, we must embrace the concept that our perception of existence is only limited by our thoughts and ideas! To understand and perceive more, we need to reach deep within ourselves, for this is where the answers ultimately lie.Thought is not only the most powerful force in the universe, but it also "creates" the Reality in which we exist!

I still don't get how cognitive oddities have anything to do with quantum physics, seems like a jump over the explanatory gap, not like a bridge... Anyway, it's amazing for me to find out that young people as me is interested in this field also. Take care, I'll be following your writings

I have arrived at my view of reality by intuition, not knowledge, what is thought? Everything, we create reality with it.

I had an idea that why a living being considered as an energy source and analysed. With my limited knowledge of physcis and mathamatics, I could not elobarate and express. The article exactly reflects what is in my mind shows new direction

Excellent, How do you avoid metaphysics on this road?
